Humble brag: Hoogenraad & Haak in Chambers and Legal 500

Every year in March, the LinkedIn feed of every lawyer and in-house counsel fills up with posts along the lines of: "Honored and grateful to once again be recommended in Chambers / Legal 500." Humble brags, as they're called.

And now in our newsletter too…. We're not big on shouting our achievements from the rooftops, but the results are too good not to share. Sorry, unsuspecting reader :-)

But first, for the uninitiated: what are Chambers and Legal 500? Both are leading international legal directories that rank lawyers and firms each year based on independent research, client and peer interviews, and market analysis. A listing cannot be bought. For firms and individual lawyers, a recommendation is therefore a genuine, independent recognition of the quality of their work.

And now (drum roll)…. the results. This year, all partners of Hoogenraad & Haak are once again recommended in both Chambers and Legal 500. Ebba Hoogenraad goes one step further: she has been inducted into the “Hall of Fame” of Legal 500. That distinction is reserved for lawyers who have consistently ranked among the very top of their field for many years running. That is something special. Mathijs Peijnenburg, Lisa Peek, Lisanne Steenbergen and Myrna Teeuw are also recommended this year. We could not be prouder!

A few client quotes from Legal 500 to top it all off:

‘Hoogenraad & Haak combines boutique focus with big-firm quality: partner-led, fast-moving and practical.’

‘Ebba Hoogenraad stands out as an exceptional lawyer. She goes all the way for her clients, bringing not only sharp legal insight but also unwavering commitment.’

‘Maarten Haak is a dynamic, pragmatic lawyer with great expertise in litigation, while Mathijs Peijnenburg is an experienced IP lawyer, very attentive, enthusiastic, accessible and hands-on.’

‘Daniël Haije stands out for sharp analysis, calm and effective communication, and exceptionally strong writing style – submissions are clear, concise and persuasive.’

Many thanks to our clients and peers for these kind words. And now, back to work.
